I don’t even remember the last time I made an entry here. This one’s going to be a bit short too. Anyways, I recently launched a new video game news publication called Brave New Gamer. It’s only been live for about a month, and it’s already doing great. Up til now it has nearly 100,000 unique visitors. There’s a lot of good content on there. We’ve interview the lead designer of the PC game Shattered Horizon, we’ve had an exclusive hands-on preview with the XBLA title Toy Soldiers, and a bunch of other stuff, so go check it out at www.bravenewgamer.com.

Here’s another project I recently finished for a client. Thauwald Funeral Homes, Inc. is a funeral home service that dates back to 1952. They were looking for a website that would be easy to update, so I made a nice design that’s built on the Joomla CMS. Click here to see the live website.

I discovered the solution to getting Windows 7 to connect to the internet. Apparently I needed to unplug my PC to reset the mobo’s LAN. #
I went through about 24 hours of trying different things and it was that simple. #
Even reinstalling the OS multiple times didn’t fix it! #
Back up and running on Windows 7. #

Wetball Nation

I’m going to start spotlighting my clients as I finish work for them. I’ll begin with a logo I just finished designing for “Wetball Nation.” Wetball Nation is an intramural basketball team at Iowa State University. They needed a logo for printing on shirts, etc. so I created a vector graphic which can be blown up infinitely big without pixelation. They loved the design I came up with. I created it with Adobe Illustrator.
